Week 8 was the so-called Funnel Week for the Iowa General Assembly. All bills must have been passed out of committee by Friday in order to stand any chance of becoming law this year.
The major issues debate were proposals for gun permits and possession, prohibition against social media censorship and courses on racism and sexism.
