Readers of my blogs know that I am a frequent critic of what I consider poor journalistic practices.
Today, however, I congratulate the winners and finalists of the 2015 Investigative Reporters & Editors (IRE) competition.
Each of these stories is testimony to the hours and hard work invested by these news organizations to report important issues in a meaningful way.
As a former journalism professor, I’m especially pleased to see the university winners. There is hope that a new generation of journalists soon will enter our field with the passion and perseverance to inform the public.
A bouquet to the IRE winners 2015 in this edition of Rocks and Flowers.
